Zotted
Not sure if these belong to this group build, but I'll say they are for a diorama and try get under the radar. (Really, I'll build the planes that are to be towed later <just haven't decided what to build>). I'll do a little write up if there is enough interest for these two little gems. Needless to say they are an important and integral part in making naval aviation possible. Still haven't decided on what sort of paint job I am going to do, but rest assured there are VERY interesting subjects one can choose to model. (See link http://www.tankograd.com/html/img/pool/MO-...%20Tractor.pdf). Be interested if more englightened modellers would make suggestions and post references to what they would like to see. Regardless of the above, I'll post the progress pics so lets starts! The obligatory box shot with aftermarket parts (there are none, but I might get some 1/700 naval chains to simulate chains carried around to tie down stuff to the deck). Both of these guys didn't take long to assemble and most parts fit ok with minimal fuss. I am sure most of the gaps can be filled quickly with Mr.Surfacer 500. Here are the shots of both the A-31 and A-32 respectively. At first I thought the below gaps were just things to be filled with streched sprue, but from some reference photos the gaps between the body and the two arms are actually there. (See link http://www.combatedgeproductions.com/photo...2/pics/21b.jpg) I apologize for providing only text links to some references, but I have not obtained appropriate copyright permissions from respective authors. Once I do, I may re-edit with hotlinks for your convenience. ***Flickr doesn't support direct linking, but forgot that you can still direct link to their server farm address.
