john53
I started this a few months ago. I have gotten a lot of information from a PT boat website PT Boats, Inc. I am building it pretty much OOB and not as it looked on it's final mission in August 1943 when it had an Army cannon lashed to it's foredeck. As far as I can tell there was no mast, as this got hung up when the boats docked under the trees on the island base. I was also surprised to find out the color was dark green, Tropical Green I think, to blend in with jungle colors on the islands. There are a few inaccuracies with the kit but all said and done it is pretty accurate for an early 60's molding. Here is what I have so far. By the way I don't have an airbrush so I couldn't mix up Tropical Green, I ended up using MM spray can Dark Green.---John Edited November 21, 2011 by john53
