That being said are there any models of the Sumner Class Destroyers, specially the USS Mansfield DD-728. I'm interested in perhaps building one for a close family friend that served on her in 1962-64. Isn't 1/350th scale the most popular ship scale? But I'm open to that. Thanks for any help. Chuck Dragon makes an awesome 1/350 Sumner class DD. However, it's a WW2 vintage ship so you would have to invest in some work to replicate a later version (I'm assuming it would have gone through the FRAM mod resulting in removal of some gun turrets, added ASROC launcher, new antennas and possibly a DASH helo pad / hangar).
