andy_e
Hi, what acrylic colors do you recommend for imitating metals, like aluminum, steel, etc, that are suitable for brush painting? I hope it's OK to post a link to another forum, but this is an example of what I'm speaking: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235001371-eduard-148-me109g-6/?hl=eduard Thank you in advance, Andy
72linerlover
Hi, Andy Boundary conditions: -acrylic -brush painting -imitating metal -various shades Solution: Citadel Mithril Silver and Citadel Chainmail. You can dope with few drops of other acrylic colors to vary the shades. Thin the paint almost 60/40 ratio paint/distilled water and paint in several thin layers. The gear housing in this page are made this way. Regards Euge
andy_e
Hello Euge, thanks for your suggestion. Your wheel wells look great, exactly what I was looking for. Regards, Andy
Serelle
Vallejo metallics are really nice in my opinion. Easy to airbrush and nice for brush painting as well. Don't expect a Alclad like finish, but they look nice as well, especially on small parts/details. Cheers Mario
