Dutch
I recently received from Hannants a package including the new SOVA-M Kit No. SVM-14013, 1/144 B-57E & CIM-10A BOMARC. The box is reminiscent of the AModel B-57 box in size and material. The kit includes a re-release of the AModel 1/144 B-57B/C kit with one extra sprue containing a new forward fuselage (with grafted on BOMARC nose section. There is also the new 1/144 scale moldings for the CIM-10A BOMARC surface-to-air missile (SAM). These parts are merely pantographed down from their 1/72 scale kit. The same pieces are represented or omitted. Lastly there is an eight page assembly booklet and two-sided single page full color painting and decal placement guide. Lastly are the decals which are comparable to the AModel B-57 sheet with markings for one aircraft in overall gloss black finish with red titling and one BOMARC in overall aircraft gray. Pictures to follow. Kind regards, Dutch Edited March 19 by Dutch

Dutch
Instructions and comments. There are a couple of things to note. The actual aircraft depicted is JB-57B 52-1497. It was a test machine its entire life. A similar aircraft, JB-57B 51-1493, had large areas of International Orange applied to the nose, rear fuselage and wing tips. The Canberra parts are pretty straight forward and have been covered before. The BOMARC appears to be a straight pantograph at 50% from the SOVA-M 1/72 scale kit. The parts layout is the same; the launcher raising hydraulic piston is also omitted. Some of the exterior piping is very thin and may be fragile. It will require very careful removal from the sprue. Dutch
And now I have discovered that Above & Below (CAN) has RCAF decals available for the CIM-10A BOMARC. Woohoo!
DET1460
Just a slight correction to the kit. It's actually a 'B' model '57. All the 'E' serials were 55-4XXX. (34XXX on the tail) Not a big deal, just thought those interested in the kit would like to know. DET1460
