f12aaa
Hi, what are the best Alclad colors (item numbers) to paint external and interior of exhaust nozzles of F-14D and F-18C? In particular what about the tipical interior color of F-18 exhaust nozzle? (look at the picture) What is the airbrush technique to reach that appearance? Is possible to reach the same appearence with Humbrol Enamels? Does anyone opened nozzles in 1/48 for F-18C? Many thanks. [
smithery
You could try contacting the modeller direct, and asking what he used. He is a member here, with username "richy". Or try searching for his posts in the "In Progress Pics" section.
looks like he can fly
I'm not 100% sure on this, but... On real aircraft, the Afterburner section and the inside of the nozzles are coated with a white ceramic material. But like i said, i might be wrong. I hope i helped Dan Edited April 19, 2005 by looks like he can fly
