steelerguy
I am looking for a cockpit for the Trump F4U-1D,There seem to be 3 available at present Verlinden,Lone star and CAM. Advise please,on fit and amount of detail. And is the CAM set designed for the Trump kit. TIA. Bob
Dave Williams
If the CAM set is the Black Box set, then it should work in the Trumpeter kit. BB actually made two cockpits. The first was for the Revell kit, and was their first 1/32 scale set. They later reissued it with some fit tweaks (mainly reprofiling the rear bulkhead slightly) for the Trumpeter kit, but you could probably use the original set without a problem. I'd definitely recommend the BB set over the Verlinden cockpit. Haven't seen the Lone Star pit, but based on the other stuff from them I've bought, I'd still recommend the BB set. MaRiO FDZ
I used the BB set for my Trumpy F-4U1D and it worked pretty well. You have to cut the kit glareshield and shave the rear bulkhead, as previously mentioned but it fits really well! Hey Rusty, what is this modification you speak of??? The Rear Bulkhead and the Glare Shield?? What did you cut?? TIA Take Care
