Davidwatson
Hi, I mainly build modern jets but I'm quite fond of the SOAR Blackhawks so i thought i would ask the experts which is the best kit? Revell MH-60L? Cheers David <_<

ccrqw
Well I know this entry will create a lot of responses, but here goes. Academy has a good fuselage and ease of construction , however I must say as a helicopter modeler exclusively I normally kitbash Italeri MH-60G Pave Hawk , Revell MH-60L black Hawk and Academy HH-60D Night Hawks kits to get the best of both worlds. For example Revelle includes all the correct RWR antennas and other sensor packages for the H-60 and has a better detailed inflight refueling probe. Note to mention a fairly more accurate rotor hub. Italeri has better weapons array to include some decent minigun assemblies , 50 cal machine guns and the casing exhaust tubes. Italeri has the internal fuel tank. Revell does not. However Revelle has better troops and FE/gunner seats. Italeri has the better cockpit floor but Revelle has the better roof. well just a few thoughts on paper
majortomski
Back in the early 90's revell issued a UH and an HH 60 in different boxings. Later learned that they were identical to a hasegawa kit I had.
