CraigSargent
Need some good pics of the P-3 pilot/co-pilot seats especially with regard to cushion and seat belt arrangement. Have Googled with not a lot of success. Any pics appreciated.
DonSS3
Craig, All my phtos are stashed, so I'm going from memory here: Seats were orange with (usually) Gray belts. Belt arrangement was pretty basic, two lap belt pieces and two shoulder belts. There was no standard to how the belts were placed when the seat was unoccupied. When I'd help my FE set up the airplane at postflight, we always crossed the lapbelts on the seat and hung the shoulder belts over the back of the seat. The parts of the seat frame you can see (actually plastic cover for the metal frame) were a gloss to semi-gloss orange. The headrest "surround" was orange vinyl padding. In the center of the headrest was a mesh-type material. The center of the seat padding had this mesh material over it, too. HTH

DonSS3
Craig, There's a couple of cockpit shots on airliners.net that might help you. All the flying I did on P-3s, and I never thought to take pics of the seats that may help. Go to the search page and go from there. Some other sites that may help: http://home.wxs.nl/~p3orion/ http://www.vpinternational.ca/ http://www.vpnavy.org/index.html HTH
