How accurate are Tamiya's Ghost Grays?

Recommended Posts

I started painting my super hornet using Tamiya rattle cans, but my superbug looks very blue now. i have several cans of this stuff and they are all like that. is ghost gray bluish by nature? it seems more blue than any hornet models i see here on ARC.

They probably are a bit too blue. The other disadvantage of using the spray cans is you can't fade the paint by adding some white or light grey like you can with an airbrush. Are you considering an airbrush in your future? It makes things a lot easier and more than likely most of the Hornets you've seen here on ARC were done that way.

El Paso (Canutillo, actually) but I'll probably be headed to Dallas in december after finishing up my degree

Okay, know exactly where you are. Grew up just west of there about

100 miles in Deming NM. That area is old stomping grounds for me...
