Matt Roberts
Putting the main gear bay into my 48th Typhoon last night and was applying a bit of pressure to get the well assembly to conform to the lower wing and I managed to crack the belly of the wing in front of the bay. Had never had this happen before but I seem to remember reading build ups and reviews where RoG kits had brittle plastic where you had to make sure you didn't handle too roughly. It fixed up fine but just was a surprise. So beware of manhandling it too much! Matt
hazmatt
Thanks for the heads up Matt. I'll be sure to watch for that! Matt
clifford355
Thanks Matt. I must say that I have noticed that as well, I droped one half of the fuselage on to the desk, not from a major height and a large peice snaped off, luckily it was a clean cut and I was able to glue it back with no problems and it doesn't show which is good. Rick in Maine
I presume this is in reference to the kerosene-burner and not the bug-smasher! :D Rick in Maine
Erik Bultz
Sounds like a problem with the plastic when it was injected into the mould. Edited September 12, 2006 by Erik Bultz
