cmyspots,

I'll try to track down the color for you. My dad used to fly VC-135's in the 89th MAW. in the 70's and 80's. It might take me a few days. I've got that entex kit as well as a few KC's that I'm going to convert to VC's.

Oddly enough, the Presidential fleet was never painted in FS 595 equivalent colors. The folks who had the contract for the paint custom mixed it so that you couldn't copy it, they just gave us a part number on the drawings.

They are identified as Boeing Aircraft Company colors and the only source I know of is Xtracolor which is available from Hannants and from a few other sources:

X164 BAC7070 Presidential Flight Dark Blue

X165 BAC7071 Presidential Flight Light Blue

I used to be an member of the air crew of AF1 (VC-137C) and have built the Entex kit and the Airfix kit. I never used the decals because the windows never lined up on either kit. I also used Testors Metalizer to get the shiny aluminum.

This required masking of the decal area and would lift the decals if masked.

The paint I use is Pactra X-18 Sea Blue which is almost an exact match for the dark blue. For the light color I started with the Sea Blue and added white to get the lighter color. I used the Airfax decal sheet to match the colors.

Here is a link to a presidential seal you might want to download it and print it on decal paper.

http://www.google.com/search?q=Presidentia....netscape:en-US

As far as the tail number and the USAF you should download the Amarillo Font to make these.

http://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=amarillo

The United States Of America font is times new roman.

As far as printing instructions go here: http://www.beldecal.com/inkjet_decals.cfm

They also sell decal paper cheaper than most places on the net.
