Hello everyone! I just picked up a 1/200 scale 737-100 and after building the kit, I realized that I want a larger one! I've poked around on ebay and it's slim pickings for -100's and -200's. Can anyone recommend a decent kit of this subject in a larger scale? Thanks in advance, Victoria

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to address the issue as I've found them helpful in the past. I'm assuming you're referring to the Romulan Battle cruiser? If so then yes; the kit is molded in a different color and has the special bird decals similar to those used on the Romulan battle cruiser in Star Trek remastered, it also has the clear parts molded in green rather than red. It's actually on sale right now in the Autoworld store.

I too am enamored with GUPPY's. Your build is quite well done and I am looking forward to seeing it's completion.

Need a little help identifying the ships used in "The Abyss"

Scale isn't really an issue since I'll likely only be making one or the other and if I do happen to do both niether will be displayed together as a set. -

Thanks so much for that and thank you for fleshing out the details of my post, my brain has been so scrambled lately that half the time I don't even know what I'm thinking. -
I've always been enamoured with the ships used at the end of the movie "The Abyss" and for years I've been wanting to get a model of something like them. But I'm not really the best or most knowlegeable when it comes to identifying ship types so I was hoping to get a little help. What kicked off my renewed interest is this website: http://modelshipsinthecinema.com/wp/archives/3116 It gives some great info on the ships used in the movie! Here are some pics of the models, now I don't expect to find an exact match given that these were vintage and repurposed for use in the film and that they're

Could someone identify what type of model was used here?

Excellent, thank you very much! -
Hi all, I was watching the "Top Gun" documentary or 'making of' and at a certain point (7:58 to 8:17) director Tony Scott picks up a couple of what appear to be 1/48 scale models on rods, he states they were used in production of the film. That suggest to me they're vintage. (You can also see them in the breifing room when they all arrive at Top Gun) They appear to be off the shelf model kits, I'm wondering what producer made the F-14. AMT or Revell, they're 80's vintage so I'd imagine they're one of those two. I'm hoping someone here who is familiar enough with the F-14 models out there can p
