  1. I have an announcement to make for all the modelers who have noticed the inaccurate shape of the HobbyBoss forward fuselage and radome for the F-105D kit. The corrected forward fuselage and radome section has been designed for the HB kit and it is on its way for casting and to be released by DMold in September. I am including test shot photos of the correction parts (not the regular parts so far) to give you an idea of what will be in the set. The parts are a direct replacement for the kit's complete forward fuselage and were designed for modeling the kit with the radome nose in the clos
  2. If you want to save money, buy a set by QB. If you want to get really accurate and worthwhile replacement set, take a closer look to the set by DMold. Low price which has been set by QB for his set was not occasional, of course. Dmitri

  5. New F7F-3N correction set is on the production run. Look at this latest release on www.dmold.ucoz.com I have put my best efforts in molding these parts so probably this set is the best offer among all similar sets on the market on today. With the best regards, Dmitri DMold Modelworks

  9. There is a note to report about a couple of new items I have introduced into my line - B-25 cowlings for Accurate Miniatures kits. The sets feature accurate general shape of the parts as well as a better fit in comparison with the kit parts. More details on the sets on www.dmold.ucoz.com Regards, Dmitri Owner of DMold Modelworks
  10. Look at these here: http://www.nahobbiesestore.com/servlet/Cat...versions:D+Mold - the best (and maybe only) choice for these items on the market. Regards, DM
  11. Concerning fit. All three sets have a bit different shape. Latest F-4K/M set comes with a perfect fit, - no adjustment is neccessary at all. F-4J/S/ RF-4 set, - the fit is closest to perfect. F-4E/F/G set, - the fit is close to perfect, but minor adjustment is required. One way to fit these parts perfectly is to follow the pictures in the instruction, but I could recommend on now to remove (file down) the rear ring at all (not to try to ajust it, - this ring was needed for the casting process in actuality), - in this case no fit problems should appear with this particular set at all as
  12. I think there's a point to clarify a difference between F-4 intake sets by CE and today's, considerably more advanced, intakes by DMold. I was actually that pattern maker who created all CE's correction and conversion sets since about 2003 (inculding a complete line of the intake sets). However, F-4 intake sets which Cutting Edge stocked in their assortment is a bit different story. A couple of ducts for these intakes (not a complete intake set) were molded by me for my personal needs, and that was much before than I started to make custom pattern parts for CE. However, I found it possible
  13. CE and Dmold F-4J/RF-4 intake sets are not the same things in actuality. The set by DMold is totally new and there's no commonity between this and older CE set. With the regards, Dmitri
  14. This question is being solved at the present. To be sure, you shouldn't miss your set:-) Dimitri
  15. The new Do-17 kit by CA appears to be very easy to build and is generally accurate. However, like most kits on the market, it has some inaccuracies, the most obvious being in the area of the tailplane. The trimmable tailplane, one of the characteristic details of this aircraft, has not been properly represented in the kit. The tailplane was mounted slightly lower as can be seen in photos of the actual aircraft. Well. I was advised that a pattern maker who has been working on the master for this kit hasn't had a detailed information on the shape of the tail, therefore he was compeled to make
  16. As I noticed before on HS forum both, ICM and then Trumpeter MiG-3 kits have incorrectly shaped radiator part. This isn't a simple fairing, and an outer shell for a large fuel tank inside, and this important and highly visible part part must be considerably wider and deeper in actuality. In connections with it, some time ago I announced a sooner release of these accurate parts in resin. Now masters are ready and may be presented for a consideration. Note, two seperate sets, proper for every kit will be released. Some time is needed yet to bring these sets in resin to the market, but initia
