  1. nothing... Windshield is a bit thick but fine:
  2. Not to argue too but can you point what you have seen? And considering your precious experience may I ask you some info for my build?
  3. marked in red are light artifacts in green a "scratch" way smaller than the mold seam (maybe I have caused it removing the part from the sprue or taking photo, really a non issue, it's just slightly opaque not a real surface scratch in purple you can spot the micro flow marks looking through the light glow, these are also invisible naked eyes (even on the separate canopy part where they are a bit more heavy than this one) please don't ask to bring in the microscope and take measurements of these "flaws", I took these photos after reading Dave's post and just
  4. Filled the NACA and ready to proceed; while melted plastic was hardening I drilled deeper the slime light frame rivets and sanded down a bit the frame itself. Following this post: I decided to cut the MLG oleo and to add a metal polished rod so I had to fill these holes: a little bit of Milliput and MrSurfacer for the ejection pin marks fixed everything: plan to end work on the front fuselage while waiting for DACO book to arrive...
  5. Rechecked my canopies and they are perfect, no scratches, no injection flaws Not scratches, just led ring light reflection. In my kit and under 3.5x magnification in one of those parts I can see just a little flow traces: naked eyes just not visible.
  6. Where please? Naked eye them seems perfect
  7. Just click on the link in my post...
  8. Little progress so far: first layer of Milliput, upper front NACA opened and being inspired from another build want to try to rebuild the vent blades. now it's time to fix the lower NACA...
  9. Switching to the other side working on Naca intakes: one piece nose section is amazing but working on the inside is quite difficult: hard to reach spots, plastic quite thick, lot of vibration clamping the milling bit just for few mm but is doable now the smaller ones...
  10. Hi everyone, just started to work on the much debated AMK's F-14D rendition... Of all the shape issues the most annoying to my eyes is the IFR: not a perfect fix but wanted to save most of the details. time to restore some rivets...
  11. Not really; general dimension are about the same but every panel and every detail is quite different. Radome cross sections does not match perfectly and while AMK one is slightly smaller aft mid cockpit it grows slightly bigger than HB. I was curious to compare the two because in the long list of HB inaccuracies fat nose or fat hips were never mentioned and it seems that the two kits are just the same dimension. It's true that AMK outer engine cross section and inflatable bags are quite off and that spoils the shape of whole rear section but I don't think it is noticeab
  12. Santa brought a new caliper (digital one) and friend offered his unbuilt HB for comparison: AMK nosecone fits quite well to HB fuselage beside different top joint line while AMK is slightly wider (0.6mm) from boarding ladder. I'm planning to fix the IFR angle: Rear fuselage are almost the same dimension with a slight different curve shape, still thinking about fixing the cross section in an easy way...
  13. Nice figures, a little bit expensive: 3 of them will cost as much as the Tomcat 😂 Edit: I doubt that my painting skills are up at those little jewels.
  14. Would like to build something like this: Hasegawa Deck Crew A is a valid option or there is something better?
  15. My first kit arrived today from Steelmodels, box was in perfect condition but checked clear parts and canopy frame: almost perfect, just the two mold lines. Canopy frame is in perfect shape too:
  16. Anyone got their preorders from sincerehobby.com? Got no answer from the address someone posted a ton of pages earlier in this thread: continental.skc@gmail.com My second one left Italian dealer depot today and should arrive in a couple of day...
  17. It's possible; several pages ago someone commented about the position of the steps relative to the intake lip...
  18. I just tried to extract the overlay from the picture posted above and scaled the underlying image to match the windscreen edge.
  19. Canopy is not too low, it seems too short in proportions (sorry for the poor quality): Easy to find out If someone can measure both Tamiya and AMK canopies...
  20. Slime lights does not have raised detail:
  21. Hobby Easy links: USAF B-2A Spirit Stealth Bomber with Mop GBU-57 U.S.A.F. B-2A Spirit Stealth Bomber
  22. Don't know, but I think to the US it would cost much less from HK (Sealmodel); I suggested Tonyshop to Wafu because he is (still) in EU and for us it's cheaper from France.
  23. It's a nice brick-n-mortar shop too.
  24. If you have time to wait Registered Surface Mail is cheap. Or you can try this Tonyshop
