  6. It's been a while since I came to this forum, but this Latin American GB got all my attention. I have a couple of current projects in rememberance of the 30th anniversary of the Falkland's War (Guerra de las Malvinas)and since my Super Etendard is almost finish, the next on the table are, a pair of A-4's from the FAA (Fuerza Aerea Argentina) and possibly, if my work load allows me, a T-34 and a MB 339 from the Argentine Navy during the conflict. All in 1/48 scale and built mostly OOB.
  7. Here you can see the difference between the Verlinden flaps in the first cobra and the edward flaps in the second one: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us The seats were also different, I decided to use the old style harness (left) in the country cobra and the newer style harness (right) in the city cobra. 8. The city cobra had to be light to gain speed: Uploaded with ImageShack.us No glass shield, no guns...not even radio equipment (at least not the military one in the back of the cockpit) Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us The country cobra was always ready for combat: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Machine guns and cannon fully loaded... 9. For the cowling I had to use the black trim decal as a template to cut off some masking tape and paint the yellow color. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us The black trim decal was meant for the Airfix model, so it didn't fit the Academy one, so I used more masking tape to paint it. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us The yelow was covered with liquid mask, and the cowling was ready for the black trim. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  10. The city cobra kept her cockpit clean, since racing one season a year does not damage too much the interiors. But the country cobra had to battle every day, so her cockpit was more worn out. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  11. Here is another stalled project finished: Tamiya's 1/48 AV-8A out of the box, well, almost...I re-scribed the panel lines and re-made the air flow...thingies??? ( on top of the wings) I used Aztec decals and gave the model a satin/gloss finish with MM sealer for metalizer. 12. Now is time to apply the SNJ natural alumminum finish. Uploaded with ImageShack.us When first applied, SNJ looks flat. It's looking very nice, I like the way you painted your instrument panels, very sharp.
  14. The next step was to add some detail to the wheel bays. And the PE for the flaps. One of these days, my eyes won't be able to do this:
  15. Hey! dont give up, all you need is cut 3 litttle plastic triangles!
