First off, let me say thanks to Albert Moore and his great work in progress thread on the Revell Audi R8. I normally build 1/72 aircraft but his thread was so good that it inspired me to go out and buy the R8. Plus, it was a nice break from my usual aircraft. Just like Albert's build, everything was ok until it was time to fit the body to the chassis. Simply put, it was terrible. It took epoxy, clamps and two days to attach it properly. My kit was built out of the box. The interior and chassis were hand painted with Model Master paints while the body was sprayed with Tamiya light gun g

Thanks for the great work in progress build Albert. I normally build 1/72 aircraft but followed your post with much delight. It was very interesting and so well done that you motivated me to go out and purchase this Revell model. It was a fun build, and a change of pace for me, but I had the same problems you had described with the body to chassis fit...it was horrible! It took epoxy, clamps and two days to fit it properly. But thanks to you and your build tips I got my on OK. ken
