  1. 25.00 for a Galactica is a GREAT score, congrats! Not knowing any better I once exchanged mine plus a few other kits for an Academy 1/32 F-18 at my LHS. Still, I got the Hornet for nothing so no complaints!
  2. Thanks for the help, guys. This site rocks! (do they still say that these days? ) This is definitely THE premium site for model a/c on the web. habu2, awesome job on the F-16 site my friend! Well laid-out and some great research there. Wish more sites were as organized.
  3. Thanks motion 2. I asked this before and I can't for the life of me remember the answer....what's the difference between an Intruder and a Prowler?
  4. It's pretty hard not to notice the slew of 1/32 aircraft releases the past few years, a trend which I hope continues even though for me (as many others) space is limited. Is there a list somewhere of 1/32 aircraft kits that are available, either modern or vintage? Or do I just need to comb the net and compile my own? Also, anyone know when the 1/32 Intruder is set to be released?
  5. I'm currently working on Special Hobby's 1/48 X-15. I've seen some terrific builds where the panel lines were much lighter than the body (very light gray on black fuselage). What's the best way to do this?

Oops, temporary brain cramp Didn't realize I posted it here (no wonder I couldn't find it in the Jet forum). Off I go...
  7. Hi Mike, welcome to the board. I'm a relative newbie myself here and the guys are terrific, very knowledge-able! Anyway re: airbrush, I've been very happy with my Badger 200 over the years. Very easy to clean and work with (just make sure when you're cleaning an airbrush that you follow manufacturer's instructions. In some cases you need to remove parts such as o-rings before using a harsh thinner/cleaner so they're not damaged). The Badger 200 is a single-action so I'm not sure how it would be for stuff like fine camo work, but it's suited my needs to this point. Some people swear by th

  9. James, if you check today's gallery you'll see some terrific ground equipment as Part Three of the Hornet build. Made by "Go Navy" apparently (I've never heard of them but that doesn't mean anything). They might suit your needs. Anyone know where they can be found? I wouldn't mind them for my own 1/32 Academy F-18.
  10. Thanks, you guys rock! BTW, while I'm thinking of it what's the difference between a Hughes 500 and an MD500? Also, why do rotors need to be colour-keyed. That is, why couldn't any blade be interchanged?
  11. Looks great GM. What did you add to it? Did you use the Falconkits sidewalls or any Trilliance detail sets? TB2 PS: I regularly frequent the SSM boards. What's your handle there?
  12. Where can I find good reference pics of rotor detail for a Hughes 500D helicopter? Thanks.
