elmerfudd94
A CO-WORKER HAS ONE OF THESE KITS IN A COLLECTION THAT HE AQUIRED UPON THE DEATH OF HIS BROTHER SEVERAL YEARS AGO. IT IS STILL IN SHRINKWRAP. I AM TRYING TO HELP HIM IN FINDING OUT ABOUT SELLING THIS. HE WANTS TO SELL MOST OF THE COLLECTION, BUT HAS ONLY STARTED GOING THROUGH BOXES. THIS IS THE 1/96 SCALE SATURN 5/ APOLLO HISTORY MAKER SERIES KIT. I WAS WONDERING IF THEIR WOULD BE ANY INTEREST AMONGST ANY OF YOU, OR ON EBAY. ANY THOUGHT ON AN ESTIMATED VALUE WOULD ALSO BE APPRECIATED. HE ALSO SAYS HE HAS STAR WARS AND STAR TREK KITS. THESE HAVE ALL BEEN STORED IN HIS HOME FOR 15-20 YEARS. HE IS WORKING ON A LIST SO THERE MAY BE MORE TO COME. THANKS, RON
Grey Ghost 531
The Saturn V kit is still in Revell of Germany's catalog and generally retails for between $90 and $110 or so. The value of your co-worker's kit depends on when it was issued. If it's one of the real early issues from the '60s and it is in good shape it's probably worth a bunch. If it was released in the '80s or more recently it's probably worth somewhat less than current retail for a new kit. What's that kit collector site?
elmerfudd94
IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN 1982.
