brahio
Can someone help me please? I try to upload an avatar picture from my computer. An error returns: "You are not allowed to upload that type of file as an avatar or personal photo". My picture is 80x80 pixels, jpg, 8 Kb. What's wrong? Yury
GreyGhost
Yury, you have to upload it to a photo hosting site such as Photobucket, etc first then from there you enter the img url in the field provided on the site here ... HTH ... Gregg

9thstormo
I'm sorry to belabour this subject... I have uploaded my intended avatar to photobucket. I have resized it to 80X80, mad sure it is one of the accepted file types (jpeg in my case), but still no avatar love. When I go to my 'controls' and input the url (I have made sure not to duplicate the 'http://' part), here is the error message I'm getting: Sorry, but the URL you entered for your avatar was incorrectly formatted or the link is not valid. What am I doing incorrectly? BTW, I have tried doing a search to try to find the cure myself, but to no avail. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Michael
kopterdoctor
Michael I just figured it out myself, Delet this from both ends on the URL after you paste it in. It work for me. HTH Steve
9thstormo
Thank you very much, Steve. I will see it in a few seconds, but hopefully my chosen avatar will be displayed. It seemed to load OK... Cheers, Michael
