HistnScale
This is Hasegawa’s 1/48th scale B6N2 kit depicting a Jill from the 601 Kokutai aboard the carrier Taiho in the spring of 1944. The Jill was arguably one of best torpedo bombers of the Second World War. However, by the time the Jill came into service the Japanese navy had lost most of its’ fleet carriers and experienced aircrews limiting the use of the Jill. The kit is well detailed and goes together nicely with options for folded wings and deployed flaps. Painting was done with an Iwata airbrush using a combination of Gunze, AeroMaster and Tamiya paints all thinned with lacquer thinner. Kit decals were used with the squadron tail marking coming from the decal sheet in the Kagero B6N book. Weathering was done with washes of artist inks and pastel chalks. Paint chipping was done with a silver Prismacolor pencil. Photos were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 4500 set in aperture mode. Thanks for taking the time to look. Mark M.
Wow, very nice. I'm digging the silver paint chipping effect, and it looks a little like my Judy kit, so I can live vicariously through your models, right? (heh heh)

Heck, what with being pretty much restricted to the house now, I live vicariously through everyone's models. Thanks for the kind words. Cheers, Dave
