Stephen Posted July 25, 2009 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Hasegawa 1/48 F6F-5 built as an F6F-5K circa 1950 at Pt Mugu.I've added an Ultracast seat and the decals are from Alleycat Decals "Postwar Test F6F-5K Hellcats" .The pics aren't great and I'll try and get some in better light as it's hard to see the red and orange demarcation>The Red is Humbrol Acrylic and it went down beautifully as did Vallejo Model Air Orange.I went for a satin finish as I'm not really a fan of glossy finishes.Weathering was promodeller was and Tamiya smoke. The decals are superb,in register,very thin but they don't let the orange show through.They went down easily with Klear as a setting agent. Stephen Quote Link to post Share on other sites
