G_Marcat_Italy
I saw photos of Usaf Phantoms that carry the centerline ventral tank taken from the F-15s. Is there a photo of the PYLON? I have here a spare F-15's tank and I would add it to a Phantom but do not know how is made the pylon.

There is a rear connection point for the swing away brace. Sorry, I don't have a picture handy. Technically the tank is not a F-15 tank as the fuel pipes and tank lugs are different. Actually the original centerline didn't have a pylon either it was simply a streamlined cover around the tanks lugs. Rick

The release unit was in the bottom of the aircraft. Edited October 25, 2009 by Wayne S
Kehlschinzki
There isn't a pylon. Exactely! There is a rear connection point for the swing away brace. Can be seen here: Pictures show a german F-4F. German F-4F also using F-15 high perfromance centerlinetank! Regards Kehlschinzki
Wayne S
If you also look up the QF-4Es used in todays demo, there might be some good pictures (todays picture technology) This shows an overall picture to help with the (awesome) pictures Kehlschinzki posted. http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Air/M...61bbcc6330750de
