Maxidad
Hi, I hope you don't mind me posting my last creation here. No WIP piccies, I'm afraid - I just wanted to get it done. All in all, a pleasure to build. Despite a couple of coats of Klear, the decals silvered slightly. Otherwise it ended up how I wanted it to look. Some of the photos are a little unsharp - the nights draw in early, and the light is dim. Hope you like it. Edited November 24, 2009 by Maxidad
Kostucha
Maxidad, You can barely see any silvering at all. Nice bird, wonderful paint scheme. French? P-39Q?
Maxidad
Maxidad, You can barely see any silvering at all. Nice bird, wonderful paint scheme. French? P-39Q? Thanks. Airacobras were given the French Armee de L'air who had used earlier versions in North Africa. After the Germans were on the run, the GC 1/5 (Champagne) flew them from Provence, in operations over Italy - these are the markings of that squadron in September 1944. In November of the same year they converted to P47 Thunderbolts. Edited November 9, 2009 by Maxidad
