hawkeye2an
Thought I'd share a few pics of the aircraft I intend to model. The first one has been completed (see earlier post). Art was the first Iowan to fly in the state and he went on to manufacture and rebuild a lot of airplanes in Burlington. http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab203/h...oon/Balloon.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab203/h.../1910photo2.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab203/h...HartmanHL-1.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab203/h...1910rebuild.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab203/h...Jenny/Jenny.jpg

ENW
The side view of the Jenny looks like it was taken at the EAA fly-in at Rockford, IL app. 1965. I spent a lot of time one afternoon watching him assemble it, and then fly it (maybe the next day). Somewhere I have photos of him assembling it, and then movies of it flying. Any photos I have are probably not as good as any you have - I was using my mother's old reflex and I wasn't the ace photographer I am now! Good luck with your project. HOLMES
How is this coming along Hawkeye2an
hawkeye2an
Don't know why I forgot you guys. I was just doing a bit of research on Art and this forum came up. Only 12 years later. The Jenny was on display at a museum in Burlington for a while and it now belongs to an old friend whose father helped Art put it together many times. the 1910 (credited with the first flight of a heavier than air to fly in the state of Iowa) it now resided at the Burlington airport. The full display was only on display for a short while, removed because it took up too much space. Sorry for the delays hope someone finds this interesting.
