boom175
Ok with the GWH Fulcrum coming out soon I've been looking around the net for scheme ideas. I was looking at the excellent Red Eagles in Germany, while perusing those shots I was wondering about the shades of grey used in the camo on the majority of the pics I saw. The darker grey tended to look to me a more bluish-grey, grey than the one Fulcrum that I saw back in 1991 on a goodwill tour of the USA. Now I know the jets that came to the US were probably company demonstrators, they had the MiG badge on the intake and still had the Paris Air Show codes on them but that grey and of course the model master Fulcrum grey is a grey with a greenish/olive tinge to it. Even when looking at the Akan paint line, it says MiG-29 grey-green. So what's everyone's opinion on the correct "darker grey" for the Fulcrum? Thanks in advance!! K-5
AFAIK the only official camouflage pattern for 9-12 is olive-green-gray over mid gray, everything else is either creative approach from ground crew or Monday morning batch of paint.
toadwbg
That grey-green color is very elusive. I admit defeat and just use the Testors MM color out of the bottle and call it a day. John Thompson
Why complicate things? Go with the experts: http://www.lindenhillimports.com/akanrussia+ussr.htm The MiG-29 six-pack is P/N 47310; the individual bottle of MiG-29 grey-green is P/N 73093.
