VIPER0177
Has anybody tried to do a 1/48 Hasegawa F-14 with the gear up? I was just wondering if it's a real pain to do.
Brian P: Fightertown Decals
I've done it. In both scales. It was pretty easy. In 1/72, there's a gap between the long front nose doors. In 1/48, I needed to trim the main gear trapezoid doors but it fit pretty spot on. I'd recommend some sort of 'filler' in the bay so you can line the doors up after the body is built and not have to worry about pushing them in too far.

phantom
Done it 3 times. Just close the doors and call it a day. First time I learned I should have used Brians suggestion. But after doing it a couple times its just taking your time to line everthing up.. Edited December 8, 2012 by phantom
