dragonlance
Can't help you with casting since I'm on the other side of the Atlantic but I've dabbled a bit mostly casting yellowed vac canopies in clear resin. Make sure that you use a compatible silicone rubber, and make a generous pour stub so you have a reservoir of resin where the trapped buubles can migrate to. I used Gedeo Pebeo clear resin. This is a simple copy of 1/48 Azur VG-33 canopy. The mold was made so that I can pour a small quantity of clear resin, swish it around till it covers the sides of the cavity and then slowly close the mold making sure there are no trapped bubbles. The excess resin simply flows out. Simple but works for me. Vedran. Edited March 26, 2015 by dragonlance
DutyCat
Clear resin casting is practically impossible unless done in a pressure pot or vacuum chamber. Personal experience.
