In the interest of this group build, I thought I'd mention, (and should have mentioned it earlier), there is a C.D. that has been out for some time called "In Country, folk songs of Americans in the Vietnam War". It was put out by Flying Fish Records and is a collection of songs by the G.I.s while they were over there. Some are original compositions and others take songs and change the words. They were assembled by Professor Lydia Fish at Buffalo College in N.Y.

I sent a copy to AVG Bob and he enjoyed the recordings.

I also have a copy of a book I picked up at the Army recruiter's office while I was in high school. It's not thick but it describes the different combat jobs available at the time. There is also a series of color photos in the front tracing the uniforms from the Revolution to WWII and it then goes into the descriptions with photos.

The first one to contact me gets it.

and maybe I'll throw in a copy of the C.D.
