Shawn C.
I have a pretty lousy, cheap pin vise and I really need to upgrade it. Mine will not hold smaller sized bits at all. It is just manufactured very poorly. I saw a Tamiya pin vise in the shop the other day. It has 4 collets and looks to be constructed well. The down side is that it consts US$20!!! I don't mind paying the bucks for a quality item but I sure would like to hear some comments on this product before I purchase it. Also, if there are any other alternative products it would be good to hear about them too. Thanks a lot guys! Shawn
Andy Mullen
Shawn, seems a tad expensive there. Check out Micromark, goto Hand tools / Drills & Pin Vises. All their kit is less than $20. HTH
Lansen
Why not order from HLJ? I buy a lot of tools and accessories from them. Their price range for Tamiyas pin vises is about 7 bucks for the smaller one and 11-12 for the large.
Shawn C.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will check out Micro Mark and HLJ!
Chris
I have never use the Tamiya pin vise, but that seems a little over the top, price wise. I use this one from micro mark. What bits the can't fit, I chuck into my drill press. -Chris
