Barto
Hi All! After a long stop-time, I started again to work on my ju52 project, based on the revell 1/48 kit of this beautiful plane... a beautiful kit, for a beautiful subject! So, let's go on... Here are some pics of the quite-finished cockpit, after drybrushing, slight oilwash, and so on... I hope you enjoy them, any criticism/suggestion is warmly welcomed! Barto
Hi and thank you all very much!!! Your comments really made me happy! Greg, I am glad to be here again too, the last month (or two...) has been really hard for me, because I had a lot of things to do, and I was very busy with new (good) responsibilities in my life... But now I'm starting to deal a bit more with my time, and I'm finding "new spaces" for modeling and playing guitar, that are things I Love and I need!!! Now (I think) I'm Back! Dave, thanks, I'm really happy about the wood grain too, also because I was thinking I wouldn't be able to achieve that effect, and instead I obtained it at the first try... maybe it's luck! but I like it! B) Mike, I invested a bit more time than usual in drybrushing, so I could obtain more detail from the piece engraving, and in this case, it worked!! :D Migrant: Maria Magdalena it's the name of the plane I choose to represent, it was one of three planes of 2nd bomb group (2-G-22) during the war of spain, that were named "Las Tres Marias" (The three Marys): -Maria Magdalena -Maria de La cruz -Maria de la 'O The 2-G-22 inherited Ju52s from legion condor... These are really poorly covered subject, little documentation, but from those few photos they are fascinating, and I love the camo scheme they wore, so I decided to build Maria Magdalena (the better covered by documentation) I' currently collecting all the info I can about Ju52s during the spanish war.. everything could be useful! :D Thank you all again for your comments, they really help me to grow in my skill and love for the hobby! Barto
Here I am again! Searching trough old backups of my HD (I had some trouble this year with my pc... sigh!) I found the profile I've mad some time ago for Maria Magdalena... Here it is,I hope you can enjoy it, and as always, any comment/addiction/criticism welcomed! N.B: I only modified colors, the profile was already existant, so you can see that corrugated metal texture in some places disappeared... the only pourpose of this profile was to better understand colors and exterior look... Barto
thanks jeff! I'm yet working on the scheme, because there wasn't a rule, and The photos I have are mainly for the left side... no right side at all, and very few (and not good) abotu upper surfaces.. so, I'm going for a study of the case...
