Darren Roberts Posted June 17, 2005 Share Posted June 17, 2005 I just heard a low rumbling sound over my house in KC. I ran out and saw 8 Apaches in formation. We have an Army Reserve unit that flies Chinooks, so maybe they were heading over to the base. Still, I don't get a chance to see Apaches flying around all that often. Even though I'm not a helo fan, I have to say that it was pretty cool. Sorry, I couldn't get to my camera fast enough. Link to post Share on other sites

flynavy Posted June 17, 2005 Share Posted June 17, 2005 a couple of months ago i saw TEN CH-53 Super Stalltions flying in formation near Quantico Marine Base in Virginia. Awesome sight! They were in two formations of four with two following. All next to each other. Anyone know why 10 CH-53's would be near Quantico? I know they do a lot of helo stuff with the President but i dont think they do THAT much stuff Link to post Share on other sites
