Rick in Maine
I walked all over NAS Brunswick at the open house today proudly displaying the ARC shirt and got no takers. Plus I forgot my digital camera. Some day, just once, I'd like to see another ARCer in Maine! :o Cheers Rick The lonely modeler in Down East Maine. BAM'n'IVM
Well, I'm due to bring your grandkids up there again sometime soon - does that count?
Koen L
Not meeting any ARC'ers isn't as bad as forgetting the digital camera Rick! Was there anything good at Brunswick? Koen
BAM'n'IVM
A little off-topic and cryptic for you... The package has arrived as you had arranged...and he is quite pleased with it.
tankerguy
Hey Rick, you're not the only ARCer in Maine. Went to the show in Brunswick on Sat. the static displays were pretty sparse I thought. Only a few F-18's, A-10's from MA., S-3's, of course the home based P-3's and C-130's. I was hoping for a bigger variety. Oh well atleast the Blue Angels put on good show. There's a airshow down at the Jetport in Portland where I work this weekend. I'll probably be there on Sun. Got to go to a Sox game on Sat. I guess they are going to store a P-38J in the one of the hangars I work in this week.
trevortex88
(Not trying to get political) Did those protesters end up showing up? How was that handled? Trev
Rick in Maine
Trev: When I drove in the main gate of NAS Brunswick on Sat. about 0830 there were about 15 protesters...not too organized. The signs I could see quickly during a left turn were mostly anti-Iraq war. The police appeared to be more concerned with traffic than them. No politcal commentary by me here, just what I saw.
