Paul T
Saw or read somewhere, could even have been here for all I know, about the use of these lenses borrowed from the model railroad hobby.Went today to the local shop to buy my EA-6B Prowler (Oh yah baby , sweet on that ,straight up and down) and checked out the RR store next door. These little gems are great , come in red, green clear w/mirrored back, amber. They simulate landing lights etc. very well and come in many sizes. Check them out , they are great for A/C modeling. Two thumbs up,straight up and down :D Paul T (don`t know where the hell I got the straight up and down crap )
J.C. Bahr
I'm surprised that M.V. has not started marketing them outside of model railroading... perhaps they're not aware of what else their lenses are being used for!
Guest Lummy
Hi guys, Just where can you get MV lenses on the net and if so what particular types/specs are best applied to 1/48 scale aircraft modeling. CHeers, Martin
Paul T
You`re probably right JC ,hell I didn`t know. The fella at the Rail road hobby shop told me he gets A/C modelers in all the time for them. Lummy (Martin) , not sure if they have a site or not,you can try;M.V.Products , they`re out of Orange California. I`m sure if you try RR sites & the like you will probably find them.As for scale ,it`s hard to say as you just have to match them up.Do what i did,buy a whole bunch of assorted sizes & colors.FYI ,they call them realistic light lenses for models(trains in this case I assume) Cheers;Paul T

Walthers railroad supplies is where my local hobby shop orders them from, check below: http://www.walthers.com/exec/search?catego...0&Submit=Search Here's a couple of my Mustangs here on ARC that have them: http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal2...ahr/gal1587.htm http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal2...ahr/gal1265.htm Sorry, I can't tell you for sure what size I used right off-hand... I just went to the hobby shop and picked out a size that looked comparable to what I needed in relation to the kit wings.

Richard E
Received the November copy of Scale Aircraft Modelling today, in their "regular" advertisment E.D, Models are listing a number of MV Lenses however they don't seem to list them on their website: E.D. Paul T
Richard, You could probably just go to the local hobby shop for them.Like I said,I was there looking for #11 Exac to blades and there in front of me,a box full of diff. colors & sizes.I`m sure any web store hobby site will have them.
