JackMan
Checksix, I believe the Devil's Head was featured on the tail of F-15Js during the Senkyo 2003. IIRC it was featured in this Hasegawa kit: http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG00644 Not the same as Tengu's banner but still the same pattern. Edit: ok, found it: http://www.1999.co.jp/dbimages/user/hobby/...g/10034179n.jpg http://www.1999.co.jp/dbimages/user/hobby/.../10034179t2.jpg Edited October 11, 2005 by JackMan

tengu
Just a simple question....I'm looking for the decals of the pictures on your banner "Tengu warriors" with the devil's head (who's simply unbelievable...).Did PLATZ decals or another company release it ????? Hi, Checksix. Well, that devil is a TENGU. Besides the marking of 304SQ, it is a forest goblin in japanese mythology. I think it was in 1988 that this marking appeared for the first time on a Senkyo on 304SQ's F-4s and since then they have painted different versions of the figure as their special marking ( along with 305SQ it is my favourite unit for Senkyo markings  ) The one on my banner is that of 2002. It was painted on the left side of the fuselage of the five Js/DJs in very small size as the only special marking. That year 304SQ did attend 'Cope North' in Guam and had no time to paint anything better. As JackMan rightly pointed, the marking was repeated in 2003 on the tails. I don't know any decals, and given the plain appearance of the planes I doubt it will ever be made. Perhaps on a '02 Senkyo sheet.....
