Hey guys. I am wanting to get back into the hobby, so I am curious who you use for online retailers, that have good selection of models and supplies. I do 1/72 scale acft. Thx

I work on the C-27J here at Robins AFB and it was mentioned as being one of the casualties of the budget cut. I hope not.

I just got the 1/72 scale C27J Spartan from Italeri. I am an A&P mechanic on the C-27J here at Robins AFB, Ga so i was very excited when i opened it. hohoho

Anyone know if there is a C-27J out there? I am an A&P on them and would like o build one. Thanks

Looking for a 2 seater canopy for a 1/72 Hasagawa F-18 Hornet. It got lost somewhere between Florida and Georgia where i now live. Thanks

Any one have a good way of simulating the color of the seeker head in the front? Thanks
-
Along the same lines, but how about doing the same unit, but in different aircraft? i.e... as they transistion from one type of aircraft to another. You could then do a grouping of a particular unit and the aircraft it flew. My 2 cents

Any one know which is the better of the 2? 1/72 A-7 or the Hasagawa A-7 in 1/72 scale? TIA

The starboard pattern was what the box top patrially showed. I did not have any other reference and i did not have the instruction sheet, which usually shows the top side view. So i had to improvise a little. The guns barrels on the one side were bent i received the kit and i was little afraid of trying to correct them, for fear of breaking them off. I bent the cloth's hanger using one of my kitchen chairs, since it was rounded on the chair back, and bent i it until i was reasonably happy. Thanks for the comments.

This is my recently completed Revell 1/72 P-47. It was given to me with the cockpit assembled and the gear doors glued in place on the wings. I always wanted to do an inflight acft, so what better time. There were no instructions, so i freelanced on the pattern, i think it's close though. This was my first Revell P-47, and will not be my last. It went to gether very well and has some really nice detail. I always liked the blue P-47's. The base is a $.49 piece from a craft store and the rod, is nothing more then a clth's hangar cut to size. Hope you like.

Any one know of any after market F-106 decals in 1/72? Thanks

11/72 KP Mig-21 in Iraqi markings. Hope you like.

Here is my 1/72 KP Mig-21. It has good shape to it, it required some filler and the vertical stab was bent at the top, so i tried using hot water to soften it and bend back into shape - it didn't work, the tip snapped off. It is in Iraqi markings. I still need to attach the canopy. The A4 is the 1/72 Italeri i built a long time ago. I never really liked the way it turned out, so i decided to giv it a face lift with a new paint job and decals from the spare pile.

I used the sharpies awhile back to try pre-shading -- Don't do it! it turned out great at first, but after a few days, the black started to show thru one of the best paint jobs i ever accomplished. The more time that went by, the more the black showed.
