  1. Bingo!!! Target hit! Fond found and downloaded; is really right. Thanks you a lot, Wayne. Gianmaria
  2. Hello! I've had a look to the little book "Image of aviation: Lufthansa" I have on my shelf. There are 5 pictures of various lufthansa's He 70s. Amongst them there is a couple of closed photos of the He 70 D-UDAS "Habicht" and there's no evidence of any mast and related antenna wire. Cheers Gianmaria
  3. Hello everybody, I'd like to start my little Airfix BN Islander finishing it as an Aer Arann's plane. At the moment the bigger difficulty is to reproduce its insignas as thos of this picture: The logo on the fin has surely to be reproduced by a grafic software and I'm going to do this job using open office draw; but the airline's name on the fuselage is a totally different problem. The best way to reproduce them should be to print the name using the right set of characters.....but that's the matter. Which is the right set of characters? Is there any one who could suggest me the right fon
  4. Hi guys. I'd like to thanks you all for the kind words. Regarding the NFM finish, I used the new Vallejo Model Air metallics instead of the ALCALD or the Humbrol Metal Cote (which are surely better) because I didn't want to breath all that stinky solvent. Initially I wasn't really convinced, but I must now reckon that these water based acryls colours can reach good results. Ciao
  5. The plane has been painted using Model Air acrilic colors and the decals come from the box exept for the roundels. I hope you like the model Ciao Gianmaria http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v60/giammi/Spitfire%2024/1.jpg' alt='1.jpg'>[/img]
  6. Hello everybody. I'm building a couple of Academy F86 F-30 and wanting to complete them in RAF and RCAF colours, I need to know which colour Canadair used to paint the cockpit of his Sabre. Thanks in advance for your help. Ciao Gianmaria
  7. Hello everybody. I need your help about the exact match of the cockpit colour for the finnish mig 21 F13. Were their cockpits painted in light gray or in the classic bluish green so tipical for many migs? Thanks in advance for your reply. Gianmaria
  8. Hi Polo. Yes, this scout biplane was called Walfish (whale) by the germans. :D Gianmaria PS. by the way, I like the models on your web page! they are really nice.
  9. Hi Brad. The eduard kit is much more simple and easy than the hi-tech one. You wouldn't have any problem with it. The only flaws of the kit are the fuselage frames which looks unreal and I rebuilt with plasicard and plastirod, and finally the top ring which close the observer place. It is too narrow with respect the fuselage section and need a lot of putty and sanding job. But all this is nothing if compared to the Roland D.II you made! Gianmaria
  10. Wonderful Sabre. Great job Fulcrum! I also like the NMF, it looks real. Which model kit have you used? Academy or Hasegawa? Cheers Gianmaria
  11. If you like WW 1 subjects, this is one of my favourites planes: the Roland C. II It cames from an eduard kit in 48 scale. I hope you lit it. Gianmaria
  12. Great job Brad! Knowing how basic and poor is the Hi-Tech model kit, I'm really astonished by your fantastic results. Gianmaria
  13. Hi Phil, That's the real problem! I've got the Model Alliance decal sheets and there are so many nice Hawks that is impossible to decide which is the best. At the moment I thing I'll go for the all Black MK1A XX194 of the 100 Sq (with a death & crossbone on the fin) or the XX226 of the 74 Sq (with a Tiger head on the fin). But I'got a second Airfix kit and I'd like to finish it with the blue/white/red Empire Test Pilots School / ASTRA livery. Do you need some decals? I could send you some of the remaining subjects. Gianmaria
  14. Hello Phil. Great job. That cockpit looks like the real one. As you, I'm building the Airfix Hawk using the Neomega cockpit set but I recentrly saw that CMK has issued a couple of detail sets for the cockpit and the landing gear bay. This is my in-progress Hawk Now I'm stucked by the landing gear bay. Having just closed it I can't use the CMK detail set, moreover, not having found any good picture of this part of the plane I have difficult in improve it by scratch. Gianmaria
  15. Hi Nev. I think I'll go for the all silver Spitfire of the 603 Sq proposed by Airfix. I think this subject is really elegant. Gianmaria
