  1. Hi Chris, My book on the B-50 (Air Force Legends 215, published by Steve Ginter) contains a lot of notes on interior colors. In general the metal interior surfaces (including the gear wells and inside of the gear doors) were Interior Green while the fabric-covered areas were very close to dark dull green. A lot of the mounts for equipment such as brackets and supports were painted an egg shell olive drab. Wiring was fabric covers on an off white cotton covering and fuel and oxygen pluming was mostly unpainted. Most electronic boxes were a crinkle finished black. Hope this helps. Geoff Hays
  2. Berkut, Thanx for the help. Lets see if this works. Geoff [
  3. Ok, that was a dupe. Try this.... http://s1100.photobucket.com/albums/g409/glh186/Yak-28/430668Edited.jpg

  5. Hi Folks, For those looking forward to this kit as much as me! Enjoy! 6. J (former intel puke, but never a SAC puke {inside joke}) I resemble that remark! :)
  7. Hi Folks, Can I make a plea for caution and a temporary suspension of discussions about on-going military operations in and around the Med. These folks are flying no-kidding wartime missions and not only are they, but the support teams, and anyone else associated with them could be in real danger from a well-intended but ill-timed word. We'll all have a lot of time, and thanx for the spotters that have been talked elsewhere, about a lot of great primary source material to talk about when this is done. If I can paraphrase a line from the movie "Strategic Air Command, "Let them do it fir
  8. The P-51D in the photo has the markings very similar to those carried by the 3rd Fighter Squadron, 3rd Air Commandos (the letter on eth vertical tail is the clue). If so, at least some of thee might have been taken on Ie Shima. The 3rd Air Commandos staged there from the Philippines to support OPERATION OLYMPIC. Wonder what other images of the Third might be in this set.? Geoff Hays Son of a 3rd AC pilot
  9. Danny Geoff Hays in Dayton, will an A-model due? May take a couple of days til I get an escourt lined up, that be OK? Geoff Hays Associate Editor, Aerospace Modeler Magazine
