I was in that club also, around 1967 or 68. What fun it was waiting to see which model came next. I remember getting the Skycrane, wish I still had it And I remember getting an orange 747 jetliner, the Russian ship "Moskva", the Viking ship and a few others that were long ago melted back into plastic blobs. In one of my "Airwar in Vietnam" books, volume 4 I think, shows an Air Force phantom with the four shot 5" Navy rocketpods under the wings. There are a lot of interesting photos of loads the "were never used by such and such.." in these books. They may have been used only occasionally, but they were used. That's the main reason I like modeling the Vietnam era, such a variety of planes, weapons, technology, etc. Large Mike

As has been mentioned, I buy the aftermarket parts and decals even for a "if they ever make that model...", then I have most of the stuff I'll be needing. If after 5 or 10 years nothing has come out, you can always resell the stuff to someone who missed out on them the first time around. I have master "wish list" of models I want to build, down to the loads for each plane, paint schemes and squadron ID's. I used the Cobra Company upgrade set for the Husky I built, and very highly recommend it. But it looks like Cobra Company is closed now, hopefully just for a short time. If you can get the set from someone else that would work or just wait to see if Cobra opens back up. But the Husky kits are cheap enough that you could do a straight kit build for now, and later get the upgrade set when they become available again. Large Mike
