Huey/Black Hawk/Apache color question(s)
ReccePhreak replied to ReccePhreak's topic in Helicopter Modeling
Thank you Sir for that info. 👍 Larry -
I have been told that the "standard" US Helo color is FS34031 (Helo Drab), while instructions in the various kits I have range the gamut from FS34031 "Helo Drab", to FS34087 "Olive Drab", and FS34084 (Flat Olive Drab US Army) {In Italeri instructions}. Some other instructions also list either FS34082 or FS34079. All of my helicopters will be operated by Thailand, and were acquired via the US Military-Assistance-Program (MAP), and as such would originally still be in their original US overall paint color. TIA for any & all comments/suggestions and more info than I currently have at my

Just saw this post on Hyperscale, and was totally disgusted by it, AND all the comments. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/hyperscale/jd-vance-killed-the-pope-t548258.html Larry -

Maybe Kinetic will retool their 1/48 T-Harrier, to include a USMC TAV-7B? Or somebody will come out with a conversion for it? -
Added Colors By Boyd Enamel paint lot.

What are your top 5 dream model kits?

Unfortunately, as long as those BRAIN-DEAD Rust-Oleum "suits" are in charge of the Sales & Marketing decisions, we will NEVER see Model Master paints return. Fortunately, at the rate I build my models, I have enough Model Master enamels in my hobby room, to last the rest of my life. I will, however, NEVER buy another Rust-Oleum paint product, EVER!!! To actually add my opinion to this Model Kit "Wish List", the only kits I can hope for is a detailed kit of the SR-71A, U-2C & U-2R/TR-1A, all with accurate & detailed interiors, to include the cameras & other -
That's good to know!

Apparently, you used a word or phrase BANNED by ARC. 😲 Don't know what that word or phrase was. Larry

Thanks for all the great responses about your experiences. I like WymanV's comment about eBay's quick reimbursement for one bad experience. That's why I like to use eBay, plus I pay with PayPal, who will also help with any "issues". Larry

Thanks Spook498 & Dave Williams, for your input .

Thanks for that info. I will consider trying something small first, before I order an expensive 1/32 kit. Larry

I heard that the first ones will be WOKE-Camouflaged in Pink & Light Blue.

I am wondering about people's experiences on buying kits from Chinese Ebay sellers. I see a LOT of really GREAT prices, many with free shipping. The "estimated" delivery time is usually from 1~2 months. I was curious about other modelers' experiences, both good & bad. Is it worth the possible risk of never getting their kit, or getting one that is either damaged in shipment or takes a LOOOONG time? If these questions have been asked in a previous post, please forgive my not finding those posts. Larry
