  1. Hi everyone! Please check the links below, those are pictures of MiG-21. Could anyone tell me what's the correct or nearest paint color to use for those two tones of gray there, especially those who have done those schemes. Thanks in advance! http://www.planes.cz/en/photo/1019700/f-7b-mig21-4505-egyptian-air-force-egy-hurghada-hrg-hegn/ http://www.flyart.biz/aviation/airliners/airport-hurgada/ - PICTURE #17 http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?183532-EAF-Egyptian-Air-Forces/page2 - PICTURE #6
  2. The pictures you guys sent were excellent! They were close-up and have no way to deceive our minds into thinking that the sheen from the bare metal surface is creating a false "white' image in our minds. So it's just bare metal parts!! Thank you very much to you all for the inputs! :)
  3. Hi everyone! Are the static dischargers on the MiG-29 Fulcrums painted white or just simply bare metal aluminum or what should be the correct color to use? Can't distinguish from the pictures if they are really white or just shiny reflections from the bare metal skin. Thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks for all the additional inputs! :)
  5. Actually there was a picture on the net that showed the leading edge flaps in the "down" position with no gaps between them and the wings indeed, so I immediately thought that that should be the real thing; but going back to the Hasegawa instruction and kit's part, there was indeed a new surface to paint on, just like those red-painted areas on the F-14 when the slats and flaps are extended, that's why I have to clarify it with the experts on ARC. Thank you very much for that concise explanation! :)/>
  6. Oh I see!! Now I know! From what I perceived from the Hasegawa instruction, they made it looked like a slat, wherein you could post it extended or retracted; or was it just my lack of knowledge of what they are trying to convey and/or error in reading the picture in their instruction..... Many thanks to both of you for that info!! :)

    F/A-18C

Hi everyone! When you're doing an F/A-18C with the top side painted FS36320 or Gunze#307 and the underside painted with FS36375 or Gunze #308, what should be the color of the exposed portion of the front parts of the main wings when the leading edge slats are extended? Can't find any good top view-pictures with the slats extended on the net. Thanks in advance!
  8. Many thanks for all your inputs!! :)
  9. Hi everyone! It was mentioned that the Slovak Air Force utilizes the MiG-29AS for their digital camouflage scheme; is this AS version derived from the A or the C type of airframe? My related question would be which version of the kit would be best used, the A or the C? Any elaboration on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  10. Thanks for looking. I already found one on ebay.

  12. Yeah we probably have the same mindset- 1/48 maybe too big. Sorry again for the confusion.

    YF-12 A

Earlier I posted that I was looking for an Italeri YF-12A #1141; it should have been 1/72 and NOT 1/48 as initially written. It was an honest mistake. Sorry for the confusion. I already corrected it.
  14. Thanks! I'll try to examine all those additional inputs.

    YF-12A

Hi! If anyone has an extra Italeri 1/72 YF-12A #1141 that needs to be dispose of for a reasonable price, please let me know. PM me would be just fine. Thanks! Sorry for the confusion. It should have been 1/72 and not 1/48 I wrote earlier. I just made the correction.
  16. Hi everybody! I guess by this time many have seen the instruction of this kit; could anyone tell me which kit's part nos. belong to GR.1 and GR.3. Just mention the part nos. straight from the kit coz I'm not very good at the names of all the parts of the plane. I didn't see any specific mention of the parts that should belong to one from the other or was it that these two versions were completely carry the same parts breakdown. Thanks in advance!
  17. Many thanks for that additional info!! :)
  18. Thanks for all your inputs!! :)

    KFIR C2

Hi everyone! Just want to verify if these colors are accurate. A certain manufacturer recommended Gray color for the cockpit tub, cockpit sidewall and instrument panel for the KFIR C2, are they correct? What about the interior color for the windshield and canopy, should it be flat black or gray also just like the tub and sidewall? Thanks in advance!
  20. Many thanks for sharing your favorites!! I'll just choose one from all of your recommendations.
  21. Hi Darren! Did you receive my email regarding the painting of F-14?

  22. I see. I know that shop. I had seen them piling up boxes of KH F-35B when it was first released. I feel like buying a ticket now and fly up there tomorrow morning!
  23. Yes it looked close enough now. Many thanks for you help!! :)
  24. Hi everyone! What's the best brand and specific type/model of airbrush in the market today that could produce the best outcome for FREE-HAND camouflage painting, the one that will be very compatible whether lacquer or enamel paints are used? Thanks in advance!
