  1. ok this is the only pic i got of my kit and my brothel of a shed/music/modelling/mechanic/ swearing/x box/ room. its just my roland V drum set... got to get a drum throne soon.... the annoying thing i find about the v drum series is the lack of "add on" pads you can add..... only got 1 more i can add....
  2. thats beautiful..... not you... lol @ mullet... the kit!!! like the 80's drum skin set up!!!! like your china too!!! had a 20' one of them by zildjan... had it about a month before i cracked it...
  3. fitter and machinist. work on underground diesel front bucket loaders and rebuild, refurbish and strip when necesary. some machining, thats more of a hobby now for my bikes to keep em running. might have to catch up with you.... those cable wraps look pretty awesome!!!! only ever used to put on the black and clear ones on low loader semi trailer trailers....

  5. i once had a look at drum marching music... and then put it straight back down again... chuckles.... man... i hate doin rudiments, so i dont think id ever be able to play marching tunes!!!! Kudo's to those who do seems like excellent stick control!!!! most fun i had playing from sheet music ( remeber self taught not that great at reading music but getting better!!) was a steve gadd pattern called the power samba.... its huge fun and FAT..... would love to know if its a rumour about buddy rich (legend) that when he went to hospital for a heart attack they asked if he was allergic to anything
  6. Awesome!!! myself? I bought my first kit when i was 18....cheap nasty thing, started with my old vinyls of AC/DC...( hell it wasnt that hard to play..." let there be rock" certainly makes my right arm a bit weary tho!!) i am self taught... had a few lessons... started with all things heavy then... metallica, slayer... judas priest, iron maiden, uriah heap,(chuckles)... then got some zepplin some sabbath some jethro tull (still love to whack "locomotive breath"!!)... then a little fellow appeared and gave me some billy cobham. i LOVE funk fusion!!! still exploring it then when retro... s
  7. as the title says.... ive noticed a few kits in background shots... how many of you are there? its my 2nd fetish you see... been playing for years and love it... the minister for war and finance has barred me from : Frontline hobbies,, Billy hydes drum shop, and 2 engine cycle shops ...( ok i get the point on engine cycle shops ive got 5 of the buggers do i really need more?..... ummmm......)..as in im not allowed in there without "adult" supervision... sheesh..... also what tunes do people listen to whilst modelling? partial to jeff beck and the who, some sabbath and supertramp, blind faith a
  8. i agree... lots of mk 1's about and the trump 24th one... but i d love a mk 2 specially for the wing cannons!!! i built one years ago im sure it was a revell kit.... they sure are a hodge podge of the hawker family... i reckon you can see three different aircraft in the hurricane... ugly yet interesting!!! in a good way...
  9. wow... yes thats them... again wrong colour i painted them!!! chuckles learning curve learning curve...looked up your plane your building... the auster t7... NICE!! kinda like a single wing tiger moth with cockpit and skis!!! Very interesting... yeah i'd probably scream and giggle like a girl if i ever got in the mossie!!! to date only been up in a few sailplanes...( old blanaks!!) but one of these days i will learn to fly... it s such a good feeling... reminds me of surfing but on the biggest wave you could ever get on!!! had a few "glides"up at kulnura nsw and then a few at boonah qld... boo
  10. no not shots.... but a passenger seat'd be nice!!! chuckles... will keep you posted... the only q i have is what the heck are all the little bottles under the navigators chair behind his feet.... are they accumulators? or what? had me scratchin my head when i put them in... i do realise now that i have painted the fuel tanks the wrong colour!!!!
  11. O NO YOU DONT!!!!! your local constabulary is a bit vicious on speeding as it is .... so i hear....
  12. and thanx for the links... realised half my error was not clear coating the aircraft first.... points out what happens when applied over a "matt" finish.... so far i have toyed on my otsu and its come up ok... will keep persisting... thanx again!!!
  13. thanks Tony and Miccara. will try the water and dish washing liquid and see how i get along..... obviously you will see the results somewhere down the track!!!... now back to that mongrel BF 110......
  14. anthony i just checked out your mozzie build!!! holy heck batman!!!! are you actually working on a full size one if not WHERE did you get those pics? is that the one that they found that a citrus farmer owned... and had cut the wings down to the engine nacelles and was using the engines at low speed to keep the frost off his fruit trees???!!!!! i remeber seeing this bird in a video..( yes im old enough to remeber them and use them!!) that was about classic aircraft in australia and had that guy from beyond 2000 on it? had a lot of Guido Zercolli ( i think i spelt that right) aircraft in it...
  15. remember reading that these aircraft were affecionatly known as " son of a ***** 2nd class". apparently they werent that fun to fly.... and i cant remember where i read it!!!
  16. ok im new to this one... read a thread on here about using the mig pigment to do a wash, refered to a zero a gentlemen had built, cant find the thread so here i am!!... how? is the first question. i have tried dry brushing it onto the finished surface and then rubbing it off... smudge marks... have diluted it with water let it dry then rubbed off.... smudge marks...i dont do pre shading as i dont have an airbrush, and the tamiya can spray seems to fill in over the pre wash so i gave up on that one.... im at a loss ..... and know after seeing all the nice work come out of here i cant live with
  17. cool! who does the best seatbelts? thats about all i want to add to the kit the rest im pretty happy with.... fits together quite well , engine nacelles were a bit tedious...
  18. chuckles i just cant come at 72nd anymore... my flatmate bought a 1/72 trumpeter hawker sea fury... my gosh its tiny!!! but your right ... 1/32 takes up a lot of room!!!!
  19. just the bare silver finish... RAAF bondi blonde...also have found that the RAAF had 4 P38 lightnings.... going to eventually do one of those as well in 32nd.
  20. like it says ... just cant get motivated... got one engine nacelle 3/4 done...painted the fuselage flat aluminium and a coupla coats of gloss!!! eventually going to add seat belts but thats about it.... and find the desire to finish the damn thing..... all non metal surfaces are flat aluminium an all metal surfaces are done in bare metal silver... should make a nice contrast i reckon!! and heres the GUNS!!!!!
  21. heres my stuka.... one wheel doesnt sit right... still got issues with the cockpit and fitting the engine covers is a pain... and lets not mention the decals!!!! unfortunatly i weathered the firewall after it was all together... will have to work on that!!!
  22. well here s a few shots of my JU 88...havnt done any weathering on it yet and am unsure how to pick out panel lines... have had a bit of success with MIG black pigment but once again unsure of how? to apply.... I'm sure i will work it out!!! this is just a straight build no scratchin or accessories....just tamiya paint and some swearing!!!
  23. yup. but i have a better idea!!! instead of making them "fly"..... i have an output for ALL MY CRAP MODELS I DONT LIKE!!! Glue everything up and give em to the kids.... the ones near my house in qld cleaned up when i moved.... just gave 'em BF 109 k,and E, hayabusa ( all 1/32) and my 2 1/12 th ferraris by tamiya and the jackie stewart mattra, i can remeber my old man giving me his old kits, and i liked em..... so share the wealth i say... where im living at the moment the lil fella here... he's 3.... he s stoked and stumped!!!! stoked cos he has a big areo plane.... but stumped cos its a jet
  24. ok now im stuck on a small point. there are 2 cylindrical canisters in the undercarriage wheel well. as no paint instructions im curious as to wether they would be accumulators...( in which case i will paint them black or rlm grey) or wether they would be fire extinguishers? 2 in each wheel well sitting side by side back towards the rear of the wheel well. any help 'preciated!!!
