  8. No issues at all if you follow the directions and are neat with you work. The fit is very precise, especially the cockpit/front wheel well assembly as it is very precise in th fit. Problems people have had with builds are due to sloppy assembly that you can get away with on many kits....but not this one. Thanks Joel for the every kind words!
  9. HI, Finally getting caught up with my to do list and wanted to get the completed build posted here. The kit was sent to me by ZM prior to the US NATS for a build and it is a fantastic kit. Alll but a couple of the F-4S mods were added to the J kit to make the new Phantom mark. The big change is an entirely new wing that is set up for not only the slats, but includes the belly strap and strengthening plates that the "S" carried. The even got the outer slat shape correct where as others have simply used the USAF profile slat. The other detail they got right is the inner slat
  10. HI guys, getting caught up with the forums. Thanks for all of the kind comments. I use a flat lacquer top coat with a touch of white, then light gray, then tan. The order is not important but each coat tone down the paint and create the bleached effect. I also sand with a polishing cloth between coats to make it very smooth, and then do some some spot fading using oils covered by a final clear coat of flat. I spray my flat thinned 50-50 with Tamiya lacquer thinner so it lays really smooth and stays thin. There is no differentiation of the inner an outer plates,
  11. Thanks for all of the kind words guys. I need to change out the elevators for slatted ones as I got my references wrong, but none the less the ZM kit is really nice to build. The Furball Decals fit perfect and make the job easier than you would think, as those are big decals. Since ZM is not going to produce a F-4B kit in 1/48, I plan to have a GT Resin F-4B/N conversion set ready around the first of the year to convert their J kit. When it is ready I will announce it on our Website and not he forums. What is nice is all of the decals out for the B and the N in very br
  12. How does a Speedhunter Decal set with Missiles and launchers included sound? Airframes will be all of the Kadena v1 airframes from Linebacker. Some of the Nellis v1, v2,v3. and as many as we can find ref for of the SP v2,v3 birds. The resin set will be out before Christmas, with the decals to follow early next year. We will supply the Resin sets and the decals will be ordered through Speedhunter.
  13. I know there is interest in markings for the Kadena Linebacker Jets and Nellis for the Weasel IV v1. Do you guys want Spang Weasel IV v2 and v3 jets as part of the set along with the Kadena/Nellis birds? Parts will be in the set to build all there versions of the C Weasel. For got to mention the Conversion will include ELQ-87 ECM Pod, all Antennas for all three C Weasel versions, LAU-34 Launch Rails, AGM-45 Missiles.
  14. Hi, Would you prefer decals include in a 1/48 F-4C WW conversion set? The conversion will fit ZM, Academy, and Hasegawa kits.
  15. That really Hurts.....and is the easy way out, especially with those fans so close to the opening so they can be seen!
  16. HI, Here are the first pics of our new 1/32 Resin intakes for the Trumpeter A-6 Intruder Kits. Set will include a fan that is at the printers and will post when it arrives. Price for the set is $25 plus shipping. These are the only accurate intakes for the big intruder as they accurately portray the internal Trunking that is part of the engine. Other companies sets do not have this feature. These are a "Drop In Design" and require no modification to the plastic to install.
  17. HI everyone, I am please to post my completed F-4S build. This is the new Zoukei-Mura kit and it is outstanding. I did a build thread here on ARC for those who want to see how it goes together. This is the 4th ZM Phantom I have built. Here is the link to the build thread: Thanks for looking.
  18. Could be, I think the complexity of the conversion sets high price had something to do with it too. I share your disappointment.
  19. Eventually I will. We need Furball to get a sheet done with al of the Kadena and Nellis birds complete with aircraft names, Missile and Pod markings
  20. GT Resin will have C Weasel Set out for the Academy kit around the first of the year. What is nice is the 2017 NATS decal sheet features a C Weasel.

  22. Here some of the painting pictures after decals. I did not take any during the painting process, sorry. I used Testors Model Master acrylics thinned 35% with Tamiya Lacquer thinner. I use several thin coats of color and sand with 2000 grit in between. This was made more complicated by 4 colors used, but not to difficult, just time consuming. After the Decal application and a coat of thinned Testers Gloss Lacquer, I used some lightened and darkened shades of the 4 colors to add aging affect and fading. These Ferris schemes took on a very faded look when in actual use. Many of the pics
