  1. Edgar, Not only had you provided accurate information but you had described one of the major pleasures of this hobby, all in a perfect manner. Thank you very much, sir.
  2. Hey, Mario That’s a really good looking plane, and one that you can actually see at the airport! Fantastic job you’re doing on that one. Clever idea the transparent top fuselage, the windows will show the beautiful interior in all its glory. Keep them coming! Saludos. Velez
  3. Thanks for the kind words David and Bad Edd. Muchas gracias Ivan y Mario. Wadeocu, thanks for the info about the Revell decal´s. I just receive Mr. Mark Softer and Setter by mail and I´m planning to give them a try with this baby. No aftermarket stuff for her. Very little advance this week end, the weather in Buenos Aires was incredible (spring here) and I was out enjoying the sun with the family. Just preparing the u/c pieces for painting, painted the cockpit surroundings (Tamiya XF-69 NATO Black, love this color!), dipped the canopies in Future and glued the cannons. I hope to do more
  4. Thank you, Edgar. I don´t know if the one I´m modeling was a new plane with the 3H or it was retrofitted to the 2H. She´ll be an F Mk.6 Fighter Combat School, circa 1961, the one depicted by Revell in the box art. I put my bet to the red “B†handle according your first hand info. Thanks again. Velez
  5. Hi, folks Yes, you were right, that @#$%& Sabrinas… Edgar, I want to thank you for the advice on the seat pull handle color. I really didn´t know that one, my references shows it´s black and yellow, there´s a photo of a MB Type 2H seat fitted to single seat Hunters. The Type 3H (MB Mk. 3)in the third pic below also has the b/y stripes, and it seems to be the Mk that Revell give us. I really couldn’t find a picture showing red pull rings or a Type 4H. Source:Aero guide Nº9 source: http://www.ejectionsite.com/frame_sg.htm I was aware of the airbrake, but you put me in the s
  6. Thank you Amato1969, Moritz, Andre and Raptor Supporter, for the kind and encouraging words. She´ll be in the box art markings of Fighter Combat School, Central Flying Establishment, RAF West Raynham, UK, 1961. I love the yellow spine and wing stripes. I plan on using the kit´s decals, never tried Revell AG decals, but there is always a first time. Some advice will be appreciated.
  7. Looking great, so far! Just one thought. The pilot figure will be inside a dark area with little light hitting it, so maybe it need more contrast, you should paint some dark areas on the flying suit down fold´s and lighter in the upper ones. May be the photos don´t show the proper contrast, but it´s just an opinion. Keep the good work! Velez
  8. Hi, everyone This is my first in a long time. The Revell 1/72 Hawker Hunter Mk. 6 is an outstanding model of a beautiful plane and at a great price too! One thing that needs replacement or detailing is the seat. Other minus point is that the intakes are empty, with no detail inside, but this could be remedied with a couple of covers made of plastic. On the plus side you get excellent fit of all components, nice recessed panel lines, sharply raised detail in the cockpit, outstanding u/c bays, positionable flaps, and what seem to be nice decals. We shall see. As usual I started with the coc
  9. Oh, no Pete! You stepped into my house, went into my modeling room, fixed my model and no one noticed that! I´ll call ADT to cancel my account right now! Seriously, there are times when the trees don´t let you see the forest, I can´t understand why I don´t figured it out before posting. Oh, well… When I finish the little bastard I´ll post it in the appropriate forum, there is too much to learn from you. Thanks a lot; you are really an outstanding “modelhood†The partially finish cockpit OOTB (without seat), hope you like it.
  10. Thank you folks, I’ll present the u/c legs tonight to see if the problem persists. Then I’ll let you know. Thanks again. Velez
  11. Hi, This is my Revell 1:72 Hawker Hunter Mk. 6. The built goes flawlessly and practically no putty has been needed so far, but to my horror there is a 2 mm. difference between the left and right wing height as you can see in the photo bellow. I need advice on the best way to correct that problem. If I rebuilt the landing gear with a shim or a 1mm. slice of plastic inserted in the right strut I think the problem will be resolved. But there will be some issues with the landing gear doors and the actuators lengths. Some help will be appreciated. Thank you all. Velez
  12. Hi, I love hydros on troleys and this one is superb. One thing I'll add are some ropes or chains for the plane-troley to be pulled. And may be some vehicle pulling it. I do not know the way this troley is pulled but I think this additions will make an all ready outstanding built an eye opener. Regards. Velez

Congratulations on that great build. The RD kit is realy a good but hard one and you've done it justice. ¡Felicitaciones!
  14. Thank you David, I'll give it a try. Regards. Velez
  15. I’m about to paint my 1:48 F-104 J in bare metal finish. I will use Modeling Masters buffing metalizers because is the only brand I can get were I live. I’ve been told that MM buffing metalizers have poor adhesion and you have to be extra careful handling the model. Also is imperative to polish the plastic to a mirror like appearance before applying the paint. It is a tedious task due to the compound curves of the model and I’m a little reluctant to do it, so the question is: A base coat, say gloss black for instance, may work instead of the preliminary plastic polish with MM buffing me
