many thanks for these great suggestions. I went with sturdy UHaul boxes with layers of 3-6 planes separated by pillow batting with a substance called "fiber fill" packed around each model. the boxes are being stored in a climate controlled facility until I can retrieve them.

other than "carefully" how would you do this? everything currently in heavy glass display cases. all I have so far are the Styrofoam packing peanuts in a medium sized Uhaul cardboard box.

many thanks - I thought about that but wasn't sure I could get a good circle out of it - it's pretty small as a 1/72 item. Maybe I can use a hole puncher on some white decal film to get the bigger circle and then punch/trim a hole in that.

I was disappointed not to find a circular window (I think that's what this is) decal for my 1/72 F84G in my old Heller kit or one in an aftermarket decal sheet I recently purchased. It's a separate piece of the window framing on the pilot's right side - I always thought that was pretty distinctive and am at a loss for how to create one. Any suggestions?

Did the Korean War F80s have any kind of finish or was it just bare metal that oxidized? Some color pictures I've seen look like it has a polished surface, and others almost look like the later ADC gray.

Is the T3 exclusively a trainer? Are there any exterior differences with the model that did carry Firestreaks?

I've seen photos that seem to show national markings on the fuselage and upper/lower wings, and others with nothing on the upper wings. Is there a standard?

I can't locate any pictures showing the wind placement of national markings, just those on the fuselage. Anyone have pictures, including the standard camo schemes? Also, did Iraq use MiG 27s in the Gulf War and/or the war with Iran?

I'm trying a Squadron canopy (1/72 for a Ju 188) for the first time and wanted to know techniques for attaching same to the fuselage and various canopy parts to each other. I thought some kind of white glue would be best especially if any mistakes occur. Any techniques appreciated.
