  1. I had to bounce it off of a friend in the EU and then got hammered with tariffs (about $40) upon arrival. Quality is very good.
  2. Here are some WIP mock-ups of the Kinetic F-104G and the Scale Planes Zell conversion. Nothing special about the 104 except for which colors to paint it. The conversion is printed resin, which includes the rocket assembly, and launch yoke. The instructions show you how to make the base. I wrapped it in walnut. Chris
  3. I'm going with MRP-439 (26152) for the gray and AK 342 (24064) for the green on top. The belly will be a mottled mix of some light grays to mimic the weathered silver down there.
  4. I'm painting a Kinetic F-104G in German colors. I've seen some conflicting color callouts for the topside, nosecone and underside. One source has 36375 (light ghost gray) for the bottom and 36495 (light gray) for the nosecone. The second source has the bottom as 36320 for the bottom and duck egg green for the nosecone. Several sources suggest the top colors are RLM-71 and neutral gray. The old Victory sheet states that the bottom is 36320, however, the top colors are 36152 and 24064. What's correct?
  5. Here’s my NASA collection in 1/48 photographed by Scott Bricker at IPMS Nats last week. HPH XB-70 Kinetic F-104N Collectaire X-24A Wolfpack T-38C Eduard X-1 Testors SR-71 with scratchbuilt LASRE
  6. Does anyone know the FS number for the dark blue stripe on the side of NASA F-104s? I’ll be decaling my model soon and would like to have a match for touch ups.
  7. This thing was about 60€. All of the pipes and tubing are included in the kit. The engine itself is only five parts. There is nothing to add. Your business plan is flawed.
  8. Hasegawa kit, Reskit cockpit, intake, wells, wheels, pylons and tail cone, Eduard weapons, and Furball decals.
  9. Tamiya kit with Quinta, MCC, Flying Leathernecks, Fightertown decals, and Reskit parts.
  10. Here are some shots of my Titan Model Kits C-32A that I finished at the beginning of 2024. This was my first vac and I can’t recommend Titan kits enough. Great products.
  11. Has anyone here seen this and is it any good?
  12. This is a 3D kit from Temp Models. The engine is only 4 parts. The trailer was pretty straightforward, but releasing it from the supports took some time.
  13. Thanks Bill. I’d like to score their X-24B to amend for all of the mistakes I made on the A. I’ve got the M2F2, but it won’t need much at all by comparison.
  14. Mattersofscale.com is relatively new. I provided him with pictures and measurements of the real thing. It’s available to buy on the website.
  15. By making more stuff for #6 makes #1-5 possible.
  16. I mistakenly put this in the wrong forum the other day. Crappy Collectaire kit with lots of scratch-building and fixing of bum parts.
  17. Seven months on one of my Holy Grail kits. The only kit parts used were the upper/lower fuselage halves, outboard stabs, MLG doors, and canopy. Canopy frame, pitot tube, nose doors, cockpit and aft end are scratchbuilt. Motor is printed with help from mattersofscale.com. Gear struts are highly modified Wolfpack T-38 parts. X-15 nose and Reskit T-38 wheels. F-106 seat from Aires. Custom NASA masks (made by a friend) and kit decals.
  18. I’ve added the Brassin cockpit. Markings and masks from Galaxy. Top notch products. I haven’t decided which prop to use yet since it’s a whiffer.
  19. I don’t typically build props, but needed something different and less complex to build after my X-24A project. This is the Eduard P-51 in Thunderbird markings from Galaxy. The cockpit is Eduard resin with some Barracuda decals. I’ve built two different props and will do a third (5-bladed). I’ll may drill out the hole in the nose to accept a strong magnet. TBD. NMF are a mix of AK Extreme Metal and Alclad.
  20. Here's my bulkhead with the Anyz decals:
