  1. Nope, the video in this link will show you what you need to know. http://www.dagbladet.no/2011/03/26/nyheter...libya/15959765/
  2. This kit looks better suited for a HAF 52+, than the sufa kit, if the PW-inntake still is in the box. Or am i missing something ?
  3. Saab=better=yes E-2=cheaper=YES Or how about Super Hornets. Don't they have a larger operational range than the Gripen? And would they cost less than a F-16 Block 60? F/A-18e/f, comparable cost to buy and operate as Ef-2000/Rafale (twin engine). Better radar, comparable avionics, less refined airframe. Radars can bee upgraded, airframes not. Better of buying the European alternatives then. But still to EXPENSIVE.
  4. If you take time to consider the fact that Norway's teritorial waters are 7 times larger than the country itself, and has valuable oil and gas rigs to protect, the range of the Gripen speaks against it. That leaves us the M2k and F-16 to choose between. (at the cheap end) The NSM (Naval Strike Missile), needs a intergration and test programe on either of these platforms anyway. The M2k is the cheapest to buy, and operate, so give me 2 squadrons of these + spares. USA has a number of retired E-2 Hawkeye, that are to "shaky in the belly", for carrier use. They can still serve a purpose in la
  5. And yet you have to look at the fact that buying the latest types of fighters may result in a force size of 18-24 a/c. The security risks to Norway are minimal since the cold war, and being able to train in meaningful numbers means more in my opinion, than outright capability. As someone here pointed out Norway is of the few that can afford a fighter like the F/A-22, if the need arises, but this mean nothing if the skill to operate an airforce of meaningful size isnt there.
  6. As a Norwegian i am supprised to see that the Mirage 2000-5II is not considered as a future fighter Cheaper than the f35/ef2000/Rafale Better range than the gripen Has alot of the stuff that goes into the Rafale Cheaper to operate than the F-16 derivatives
  7. They are different types of acrylics apparently, and i wonder if they mix well ?
  8. 1. Great thanks ! 2. Are you sure of this, i know Block 30's have them on both sides, not sure about the 50's I am thinking of making the strenghteners, by masking and spraying some Mr. Surfacer 1000. Does this sound like a good idea ?
  9. 1. Step 34 in the istructions has me drilling a hole in the upper-forward fuselage, Why ? 2. I am doing this as a Hellenic Block 50, they have some strengteners around the RHAWS, does this apply to both sides, or just the left/right ?
  10. Does anybody know if the rivet detail on Tamiya's reinforcement plating, will show trough after painting ? Thinking of buying aftermarket.
