  1. Agreed on all accounts!! Until someones finds her A/C or something better, I'll stick to this as facts. Regardless, neither Fred nor Amelia will appear alive to provide their accounts!! The secret that the US had broken Japanese's Codes was FAR more important than finding these two. Interesting that US Navy gave up search after about two weeks?????? I'm good to go!! Bo
  2. Let's see what I've loaded. Now using vgy.me Was really a pain to remove them from PB, too. Hope this works. Used Direct Image Link Okay, above worked but could NOT preview photo. Will try Direct Link Direct Link let photo appear without Preview or Posting. Bo
  3. I'm buying it, 'hook line and sinker'!! Japanese communicated via their cryptic messaging as a test to see if the US had broken their code!! The US didn't bite!! Fred and Amelia were EXPENDABLE!! US knew exactly what happened to them and where they were!! Just as the US Navy aircraft knew EXACTLY where the Japanese Fleet was at Midway!! Not just SH luck as the story they spun!! Not the ONLY time bad things happened JUST to keep secret about Code Breaking!! Manchester England?? bombed by Germans with NO defense what-so-ever!! Same reason Japanese didn't play up Amel
  4. I hear ya; but, very few people alive today knew Fred Noonan well enuff to say either way. Hopefully, the 'Expert' would be looking for altered photo and such. Period photos of Noonan and the photo in question look EXACTLY like him. Fuzzy as it is. The area of the woman just doesn't show enuff to say for sure. Her hair style does resemble that of Emelia Earhart. Hair DOES grow. The body size and weight looks about right, too. What I find interesting, photos of BOTH at the same time in that part of the world, just has to be very, very, very slim indeed.
  5. Thanks, UNCLICKED everything. Hope that works. All started when I noticed my email addy was a very OLD one, Updated and then it started. Thanks, again. Bo
  6. Huh??? Uh, I really haven't met either one of them; but, from period photos they sure looks like them to my Mk. Is!! Ditto the experts that NBC dug up!!
  7. Don't really need nor want more emails!! How can I stop getting email postings and then read same here!! Bo
  8. Kinda Off Topic, but for Aviation History buffs, maybe not, Anyway, tomorrow night on the History Channel, they'll show a lost photo of 2 Westerners in the Marshall Islands that look very much like Amelia Earhart and her Navigator, Fred Noonan at the same timeframe as her disappearance. Also an trap covered object on a Japanese ship that's very close to the fuselage length of her aircraft. ??? Worth a watch and maybe record??? Bo
  9. One more test post to see if I can preview BEFORE posting. Worked!! I used 'Direct Link' option and photo appeared BEFORE actual posting. I'm sold!! Bo
  10. Monogram P-61. Easy enuff! Clicked Direct Image Link. Couldn't preview it BEFORE posting, tho.
  11. Monogram B-29, I hope. Huge Thumbnail size. EDIT: Worked.
  12. Thanks, AnthonyWan. Again, that's what I avoid. Don't want that Fire Hazard. Bad enuff with all my other model supplies. Bo
  13. Let's cut to the Chase!! Other than Mr. Paint's own thinner what does it thin/clean-up with??? Is it the same type paint a Tamiya's bottle paints?? If so, I use distilled water/ iso alcohol / and Future mixture for Tamiya and all other acrylic paints. Clean-up with ammonia and water. Works just fine. Will that work with Mr. Paint or does one need lacquer thinner??? Thanks in advance. Bo
  14. That's what I'm afraid of. I switched to water based acrylic some years ago and said the same thing then, and really still like them. Just gotta have correct equipment and some experience with them. Bo
  15. Squat!! I use only Water based paints. All this bottle photo says is 'Acrylic Paint'. Looked for something about 'Flamable' but it's NOT in view. http://www.redstarscalemodels.com/product-p/mrp103.htm
  16. Red Star Models carries this considerable line of airbrush ready acrylic paints that look promising. Anyone used them?? TIA Bo
  17. Test using Google Photos: Should be a Castle in Ireland. Well, the LInk was added and one could click on Link to see Castle. Wanted ONLY photo to appear, not link. EDIT: 2nd try Still doesn't work???? Still have to click on link to see photo??? Also, once in there, ya can see ALL of my photos in Google!! Don't want that either!! EDIT; 3rd try using Gene K advise. Alright!! Now, how'd I do that?????? Gonna take some practice!!
  18. But don't ya think this is just the beginning of ALL internet trying to 'monetize' their sites?? After all, it IS a business and there are cost involved in keeping the site up and running. Seems we’re going to be ‘nickeled and dimed’ to death!! Bo
  19. Does this mean paper magazines will make a come-back??? Bo
  20. Who ya gonna call??? PC Matic PRO!!
  21. I just wonder WHY, these Forums require a 3rd Party to post Photos!! I don't need a 3rd party to send a picture to a friend via Email or Text!! Why here???? Smoke and mirrors???? Bo
  22. Very similar to 'Being scared half to death, ....... twice'!! Bo
  23. About the seats and placement of belts. I fully understand why modeler like to display them in seat bottom and lay down the back. Alot effort goes to make them look real. That said, we pilots are such a sweet, nice and considerate bunch, we ALWAYS took shoulder straps and laid them on respective side of the side armor plate, AND then we'd lay the seat belt straps over the edge of the seat bottom armor. This left the seat void of any straps, belts or buckles that would hamper or otherwise do posterior damage to the next pilot that sit in those seats!! To be honest, that was the easiest
  24. Reply to ur PM sent. What a Guy!!! Hats off to Larry!! Bo
  25. So shorten those two antenna and I'm good to go?? Now, to find the Hasegawa Set B. Thanks, I needed that. Have't the foggiest what those thingy are!! EDIT: And that's a spinner on nose to produce electricity for powering unit??? EDIT again: Missing wheel on this Thud??? Bo
