Yes, you can vote once a day. With mobile internet you can give one more vote. BTW, for those who are interested: here is voting for Do 26: http://ideas.revell.de/ideas/item/99/ It is possible to vote for different ideas in parallel.
  2. IP: Let me know, if I should send the hotel info & phone via PM. TIA.
  3. Hi Pete, PM sent. It would be great, if we could manage to make an appointment in Seattle.
  4. Thanks a lot, PNW! I'll have to see, whether I can manage accessing the Skyway by bus. Paine Field sounds really great, but I see unfortunately no chance for me to do it this time...
  5. Although the main aviation-related sight in Seattle is of course the Museum of Flight (which I’ll hopefully be able to visit), I’d like to drop by some hobby shop(s) as well. However, as I’ll be somewhat limited in terms of time, it/they should be well accessible from the downtown (without a car) and have a good choice of products – not only kits, but also decals, detail sets etc – at good prices. My area of interest is WWII aviation 1/72. Any tips are much appreciated. TIA
  6. Well, unfortunately I've also ordered the Ik-3 last year (after some positive reviews) via a friend of mine and it is currently waiting to be sent to me some time later. It would be an exaggeration to say that I can't wait. ;-) At least I could save the shipping cost... Although the errors do seem to be correctable and I sure could be able to fix them, now I seriously doubt it, I'll become enthusiastic enough to do this one within the next 50 years... eBay is probably the way to go! ;-)
  7. Are there any fatal errors with the IK-3: dimensions, shape/outline, cross sections etc.? Although it still seems to be much better than the AZ release (fortunately, didn't buy it!), but it is hardly worth anything in case of above mentioned flaws...
  8. To be honest, I am not impressed, especially by the surface detail. And even if I feel myself 'forced' to buy this one some day, it won't be until the comparision with Dragon (hopefully, however, it won't be the case!)...
  9. My intention is also definitively waiting for the Dragon release, even if I am slightly disappointed about the new Meteor. Although it is still probably better starting point than the MPM kit, but the surface detail needs obviously some refinement and the interior is still not fine enough to be just let "as is". So, maybe a good kit (if there are no serious accuracy issues), but still no "revolution"... Now, I am pretty sure that there will be no need to replace the P-51D and the Bf 109E by Tamiya by the announced Dragon releases. And at least not sure that it will also worth this in case
  10. Hi, Planning to start working on the 1/72 Baltimore by Special Hobby as a "white" Coastal Command Mk.IV flown with the No. 13 (Hellenic) Sqn and having checked all available sources, I had to notice that, despite of really good references I've got, there are almost no photos showing this or similar a/c. The following sources were checked: - AJ Press ML #97 - Model Aircraft Monthly 08-2008 - Royal Greek Desert Squadrons - http://koti.welho.com/msolanak/13helengl.html as well as Google search results, and, although a few pictures of such a/c are included there, none of them show a com
  11. Let's hope, it won't at least be Academy... On the other hand, I wouldn't mind at all to see a 110 from Fine Molds. As for RS Model, I am afraid, the 110 is not exotic enough for them. It would still be great, if they'd release an Avia B.534. This one would perfectly fit into their current policy.
  12. My problem is that I don't have an e-mail address of Mr.Bucholtz. Could someone help please?
  13. The problem with this one is that it was shot down in Spring of 1944, i.e. can't be modeled with invasion stripes - the most attractive thing (at least for me) about these marking options. However, The photo would still be of interest anyway, since it could reveal some more details common for all planes of the unit. Here is one more Razorback decorated by Rarey: Unfortunately, still no luck with its own a/c...
  14. Hi Dimmy, Yes, I have got these decals. Thank you so much for the picture. This one indeed proved to be quite well documented. I've also found it in at least 3 books. However, there are some problems about this option, since, besides the not very attractive taped areas, the nose art is not very correctly represented by the decal. This photo shows also clearly that at least the decal representation of code "8" is rather far from the real thing and this is certainly common for all 3 decal options. In the me meantime I was able to find some more infos on this topic. Actually George Rarey wasn'
  15. Well, I guess, the best address to ask would be the author of the decals - Chris Bucholtz. Could someone help me to contact him? TIA
  16. Thank you, I have already seen this page, but the photo depicts unfortunately another (Geyer's) a/c not included in the IPMS decals... I wonder, maybe this photo was used for the reconstruction of the view of the "Damon's Demon"? However, I've checked: the mission markings are similar but not the same and their numbers are different too.
  17. Now I am already in possession of this decal sheet and looking for the photos the decals are based on: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=179277 Thanks anyway!
  18. Are there any photos of this particular a/c known to exist, at least of the cockpit area? If no, what the decal markings (especially the mission markings and the crew data block) are based on? The only picture I was able to find so far is this one: http://www.usaaf-noseart.co.uk/rarey-george.htm If no more photos are available, any other photos of the Razorbacks of the 362nd FG 379th FS would also be of interest, in particular the "Wheel boy/ The Tennessee Cannon Ball" flown by Lt. Kent McCleary Any help would be much appreciated. TIA
  19. The really interesting question is how the wheel wells are represented in this replacement wing. Hopefully not like in the Hawkeye Designs P-51B resin "corrected" wing...
  20. Hi, I can remember to have seen a combo 1/72 & 1/48 decal sheet for the P-47 by some IPMS (Santa Rosa?) representing among the others a P-47 Razorback OD/NG with full invasion stripes and some nose art. I can't remember which one a/c exactly it was, but it seems to be from the 9th AF. I can also remember to have seen in some article in the Internet a 8th P-47 Razorback also with full invasion stripes finished with some IPMS decals. I am looking for such decal option in 1/72. Hopefully someone building 1/48 wouldn't mind to sell or trade the 1/72 option? Just the markings for 1 partic
  21. I was also waiting for Olimp, but its form seems to be lost (stolen, and the worst about this - probably by people having no connection to scale modeling). As for Pavla, I have no great expectations about the quality of this kit, even if the accuracy would be OK. I do have some experience with Pavla kits and it is everything but positive. For instance, the building of the Re 2005 turned out to be almost complete scratch building, including the major parts.
  22. Just a short Q.: are there any critical shape/dimension/outline issues with this kit? TIA
  23. Just in case, someone from the Eduard stuff reads this: 1 more vote for the 1/72 Bf 110 and F6F. In addition, they've also had announced 1/72 Avia B-534 for ca. 2006-2007... BTW, it would also be great to see finally an accurate 1/72 P-39/P-400 as well...
  24. I can offer the RAF option from the Aeromaster sheet 72-146 for 3.50 EURO + shipping. Feel free to contact me, if you need a scan.
  25. A photo (the sooner the better) would be great. I suppose, you are the only one being currently able to do that. Thank you in advance!
