  10. I have finished (almost, actually) a model of this great looking interceptor. i've always wanted to own this ww2 aircraft! this was strictly 100% OOB. Used Kit decals and tamiya/gunze acrylics. here are the pics. hope to receive comments so that i can further improve on my skills. thanks for browsing!

  14. This is my 1st Japanese plane in 1/48. I tried to re-create the weathering based on the actual B&W photos that I downloaded from the web. the photo was taken just after the model has been coated with future. The Model was primed with Gunze Mr Color Super Stainless. This is a very good paint! bought it from Japan. the finish is just like real stainless! i applied preshading on top of the stainless paint and then applied the dark green top side and jn light grey on the bottom side. thinned ligthened base color was applied on center part of the panels and then a very thin base color w

  18. finally done... 1. decals already attached 2. rockets detailed and attached 3. fuel caps intalled 4. radio wiring 5. radiator actuator (?) 6. weathering done using pastels [glow=red,2,300]HELP NEEDED: I LOST THE DECAL FOR THE WING FUEL TANK... IT GOT CRUMPLED WHILE I TRIED TO MOVE IT TO PLACE... CAN SOMEBODY SPARE 1 DECAL FOR ME? THAT'S THE ONLY MISSING THING HERE.   19. tail wheel finally finished!!! added the triangular mounting bracket and actuators. gun barrels were also replaced by hypodermic needles. my almost finished mustang.... Other items to do: 1. covers for fuel fuselage and wing tanks 2. improve bullet colors 3. paint clear parts 4. attach decals 5. weathering thanks for viewing... comments are most welcomed!

  21. wing ribs: 1. temporarily attach the upper and lower wing together. 2. i used solder wire to get the contour of the wing sections. you should consult your references on the location of the ribs and spars. [or you could buy a contour gauge which is more expensive and use it to get the contour of the ribs] 3. transfer profile of each ribbing to a paper/or directly to a styrene sheet. 4. cut the profiles from the styrene sheet slightly smaller than the actual profile. you need to do this bec you will be attaching this to the lower wing surface. 5. attach the spars. it's better to attac
  22. hello! just want to share to you my current in-progress build... it's nearing it's completion... some of the mods that I did: 1. modified the mounting brakets for the drop tanks, added fuel lines 2. improved the landing gear by opening the molded details and adding brake lines 3. cockpit: OOB except Eduard PE seatbelts 4. showed inside ribbing for wing and tail section 5. Aires gun bay, engine 6. Foil on the fuselage comments are mose welcomed! btw, the intake duct going to the scoop was already corrected. thanks for browsing!
